Sydney Sweeney paid tribute to her favorite rom-com movie, “My Best Friend’s Wedding,” at the 2024 GLAAD Media Awards in Los Angeles on Thursday night, wearing a custom silver Miu Miu gown that appeared to be inspired by Julia Roberts’ maid of honor attire in the 1997 film.

The “Euphoria” actress, 26, sparkled in a slinky satin dress with a bedazzled underlay that was remarkably similar to the purple design Roberts, 56, wore in the film, layering on enough diamond jewelry to pay for her best friend’s wedding in the process.

Sweeney’s handmade creation was a soft silvery blue with rhinestone-covered straps that hung off her shoulders, unlike the “Pretty Woman” star’s character Julianne, who wore a lavender gown with sparkly halter-style straps underneath.

The “White Lotus” singer wore her new bob haircut slightly waved and accessorized with over $75,000 in Brilliant Earth jewelry, including a $45,000 pair of lab-grown diamond earrings and a $14,000 graded natural diamond necklace.

She wore five diamond rings from the ethically sourced shop, including the Brilliant Earth Aurora band ($1,190), the Lina baguette ring ($4,590), the Prism ring ($3,690), and the $995 Logan Hollowell open ring.

And, while she rarely wears her fiancé Jonathan Davin’s engagement ring to public events, the actress wore a $3,690 Brilliant Earth engagement ring at the awards evening.

Sweeney claimed “My Best Friend’s Wedding” was her favorite film in a December 2023 Deadline interview at the screening of her film “Anyone But You,” and fans were quick to note out the similarities between her GLAAD outfit and her favorite film.

“It’s giving my best friend’s wedding Julia Roberts’ maid of honor dress,” one social media user wrote on Sweeney’s stylist, Molly Dickson’s Instagram image on Thursday.

“My best friend’s wedding vibes 😍,” another added.
