Casemiro suffered throughout Manchester United’s collapse at Chelsea.
The Blues stunned the Red Devils’ under-fire manager Erik ten Hag in the first half, scoring twice in 15 minutes.
Conor Gallagher opened the score after only four minutes, and Palmer doubled the West Londoners’ lead from the penalty spot.
However, the Red Devils fought back, with Alejandro Garnacho scoring in the 34th minute and Bruno Fernandes equalising five minutes later.
Garnacho completed his brace on 67 minutes, and United believed the work was done in west London.
Palmer, on the other hand, took matters into his own hands in the dying moments, tying the game in the 10th minute of added time with another penalty.
The Chelsea star then completed a surprise victory just a minute later, putting even more pressure on Ten Hag.
But how did the Manchester United stars fare? Dan King rated Ten Hag’s players as follows:
Andre Onana – 6
Could have done better with Conor Gallagher’s early goal, but made good saves from Enzo Fernandez, Nicolas Jackson, and Cole Palmer twice before Chelsea’s winner was deflected past him.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka – 6
When going forward, he worked well with Antony on the right, although he struggled in defence at times, most notably when he was caught upfield before Chelsea’s penalty. Better after the break.
Raphael Varane – 5.
Unfortunate for the first goal, when the ball ricocheted off his heels into Gallagher’s path, and much more so for picking up a knock that forced him to be substituted at halftime.
Harry Maguire – 6
At times appeared vulnerable to Chelsea’s pace, but he was sturdy when needed. Forward run almost resulted in a goal, then some fine effort at the back toward the finish.
Diogo Dalot – 4
Palmer led a joyful dance when he was caught out of position for an early score. Provided a cross for Bruno Fernandes’ equaliser, but then slipped and conceded a late penalty.

Casemiro – 4
Sluggish from the outset, hesitant to respond for the opening goal and frequently misplaced passes. He sent a second-half header off target and was fortunate to remain on the field for as long as he did.
Kobbie Mainoo – 7
Lost the ball in the build-up to the opening goal, but improved as the first half progressed, as he had to, given how terrible the player next to him was. gradually outperformed the £100 million midfielders in Chelsea blue.
Antony – 8
Spoiled a promising start by conceding a penalty, but he was a threat throughout the evening in one of his best United performances. Won the ball and then made an excellent pass to set up Garnacho for United’s third.
Bruno Fernandes – 6
Spent the early parts whining about fouls on him not being penalised, then a magnificent header for the equaliser. He kept his team going despite not up to his usual ball-handling levels.
Alejandro Garnacho – 8
Much improved from the Brentford game, he seized on Caicedo’s mistake to get United back into the game and then took the lead with a well-placed header.
Rasmus Hojlund – 5
Struggled to get into the game in the early half after a similarly unproductive performance against Brentford. Livened up a little after the interval, but not enough to escape being caught right before the winner.
Substitutes: Jonny Evans (5 for Maguire at half-time).
The experienced defender played only 21 minutes before being forced to leave with an injury.
Willy Kambwala (for Evans, 66) – 6
Good block on Jackson; you did nothing wrong because United gave it away right at the end.
Marcus Rashford (for Hojlund, 66) – 5
Garnacho sent in a cross, and he offered little.
Scott McTominay (for Casemiro, 75) – 6
Fresh legs and physicality gave United more midfield presence, but they were unlucky to deflect the winning goal.
Mason Mount (for Garnacho, 85) – 6
On his return to Stamford Bridge, he was loudly booed but fought hard in a short period of time to disappoint his former side.
