KOBBIE MAINOO was dubbed a “£300 million player” when fans observed him battling Enzo Fernandez.
The 18-year-old’s impressive performances for Manchester United have just earned him an England call-up.
Kobbie Mainoo has been dueling with Enzo Fernandez tonight.
Fans marveled at Mainoo’s clash with Fernandez.
Fernandez was left on the floor as fans shouted that Mainoo was a ‘£300m’ player.
Mainoo was back in the starting lineup for the Red Devils’ match against Chelsea on Thursday.
And he was once again demonstrating why so many fans want him to start in the Three Lions’ midfield at Euro 2024.
Mainoo defeated Argentine World Cup player Fernandez early on, who moved for Chelsea in January 2023 for £106 million.
Mainoo had used a one-two with frontman Rasmus Hojlund to avoid Moises Caicedo’s retreating press.
Fernandez, 23, then attempted to win the ball from the Carrington graduate.
However, Mainoo brushed aside the challenge, causing Fernandez to collapse to the ground.
Fans hurried to comment on the fight on social media, with one writing, “Kobbie Mainoo bodied Enzo Fernandez.”
A second person stated, “I just saw Enzo get bodied by Mainoo. “Mainoo is clear.”

A third person wrote, “CLIP MAINOO SITTING ENZO DOWN RN.”
Another stated, “Mainoo just sat Enzo down.”
A fifth stated, “If Enzo was worth £100 million, Mainoo is worth £300 million.” “I’ve tried not to gas it, but this kid could be generational.”
The opening half of the game was wild, with Chelsea taking an early 2-0 lead thanks to goals from Conor Gallagher and a Cole Palmer penalty after Antony fouled Marc Cucurella.
However, the visitors regained control of the game when Alejandro Garnacho seized onto a mishandled Moises Caicedo pass, and Bruno Fernandes hammered home an equalizer shortly before halftime.
Antony’s pass from the right flank allowed Alejandro Garnacho to head Manchester United’s third goal past Djordje Petrović.
But there was more drama to come, as Cole Palmer scored a penalty and then again in injury time to give Chelsea a thrilling 4-3 victory.
