Scores for the Crystal Palace vs. Manchester City match were revealed before the Selhurst Park crowd had even taken their seats. 

It came as a surprise that players from Crystal Palace scored the goal. The home team’s stunning release in the center of the field in the third minute utterly shredded Man City’s defense. Teammates set up Jean-Philippe Mateta to face Man City’s goal, and he scored the game’s first goal with a beautiful strike. 

Reds and Gunners are neck and neck, while Liverpool is on top of the league.

The championship race heated up after Liverpool and Man City played to a draw.

Crystal Palace’s lead did not remain for long after Haaland scored and Man City gradually proceeded. To draw the teams level in the thirteenth minute, Kevin De Bruyne scored with a stunning curling strike. 

After that, Man City dominated play and put tremendous pressure on Crystal Palace’s field.

Crystal Palace’s tight defense, nevertheless, was too much for Man City’s stars. Contrarily, Crystal Palace launched deadly counterattacks against the away team as well, and Man City’s only escape was a stroke of luck.

However, with Rico Lewis’ goal early in the second half, all of Man City’s problems vanished. Midfielder Joachim Andersen of Crystal Palace leaped high but was unable to clear the ball when Jack Grealish crossed it from the left wing in the 47th minute. Man City went up 2-1 as the ball rolled to the feet of youngster Rico Lewis, who scored with ease.

After taking the lead, Man City improved their play and added two more goals in the 66th minute from Erling Haaland and a goal from Kevin De Bruyne in the 70th minute. De Bruyne had a fantastic day, scoring twice. The Belgian midfielder also had an assist on Haaland’s goal. 

Crystal Palace pushed for an equalizer in the dying minutes, with the help of Odsonne Edouard (86th minute).

Man City ended up winning 4-2, moving up to second place in the league. Liverpool and Man City both have 70 points, however Liverpool is placed higher than Man City since their point differential is worse.
