The rap mogul opted for sentimental value over extravagance, selecting a delicate bracelet by Tacori for the 33-year-old songstress. The piece, known as “The Promise,” retails at $2390, a mere trifle for the Roc Nation CEO. Crafted from intertwined silver and gold with a lock that can only be opened by a heart-shaped key, the bracelet symbolizes the promise shared between two individuals.

While the gesture is undoubtedly heartfelt, Jay-Z didn’t personally choose the gift from the store. Instead, Beyoncé’s stylist, Ty Hunter, was tasked with the errand of acquiring the bracelet. According to People magazine, Jay-Z had intended to present the bracelet, along with other gifts, to Beyoncé on Valentine’s Day. However, unable to contain his excitement, he decided to surprise her earlier.
