England ace Phil Foden caught the catch of the day on a pre-Euros holiday, when fishing with his kids on a yacht in Marbella.
Manchester City star Phil, 24, has been relaxing with brother Logan before joining Gareth Southgate’s squad to begin final preparations for the football match in Germany.
Fillet Foden is the ace. Phil poses with brother Logan after pulling in this fish during a family vacation in Marbella.
Phil has returned to the UK and was sighted at Tottenham Hotspur’s training base yesterday with teammate Kyle Walker ahead of Friday’s friendly against Iceland at Wembley.
And the midfield kingpin will be trying to land the big one in Germany after scooping up three tiddlers from the sea in the Spanish jet set resort.
Phil, who won the Premiership and Player of the Year awards following an outstanding season, pleased his children, Ronnie, five, and True, three.
His pregnant girlfriend Rebecca Cooke observed the festivities from the back of the family’s hired yacht, which never moved from its mooring as the family basked in the sun.
Isaac Rayton, a Brit, witnessed the £200,000-a-week star spot shoals of fish while strolling along the beach with his family before hiring the luxury speedboat to offer his fishing pitch.
Isaac, 18, of Preston, Lancashire, said: “Phil walked along, and he and his son were watching and pointing at the fish in the water, so he rented a boat.
“I don’t think they went anywhere on it, but he was fishing on it, and I was able to capture the moment he caught one of them, but I believe he caught three altogether.
“There were so many people surrounding the boat.”
“Everyone’s standing around, and the guy in front is fishing.
“That will win us the Euros.”
Gareth Southgate has rested Foden, but he is expected to start at Euro 24, which begins on Friday, June 14, in Berlin.
The midfield maestro, who has scored 24 goals for City this season, will rejoin the Three Lions group in time for tomorrow’s Wembley send-off friendly against Iceland.
