Following his loan performance in the Champions League final for his former team Borussia Dortmund, Sancho was granted a protracted break.

Now, though, he is fully training with United’s top team at Carrington.

The 24-year-old will NOT fly to Norway on Monday for the friendly versus Rosenberg.

But it’s because his pre-season began later than those of his teammates.

United is mostly concerned with getting the Englishman with 23 caps up to speed.

The Red Devils informed us Sancho “returned for testing” on Wednesday.

Then on Thursday he “trained with the group”.

United also stated that at Carrington this week other well-known figures including Andre Onana, Casemiro, Mason Mount, and Marcus Rashford have been back in the swing of things.

MAN UTD TRANSFER NEWS LIVE: Old Trafford’s most recent signings and rumours

After being dropped for a Premier League trip to Arsenal, Ten Hag and Sancho fell out last September.

The Dutchman said the wideman had been training poorly; Sancho answered on social media that he had been “a scapegoat for a long time”.

Ten Hag froze Dortmund out after the £73million signing from the player refusing to apologise for his public rant.

In January Sancho was loaned back to his former German club.

Though it was hardly surprising when he missed out on Gareth Southgate’s Euro 2024 selection, he recovered his form so remarkably that he even earned a few shouts for a Three Lions’ comeback.
