Kevin Hart appeared worse for wear while filming his upcoming action comedy, The Man From Toronto, on Tuesday.
The 41-year-old actor was seen sporting a bloody face and shirt during the shoot of an action sequence for the film, appropriately set in Toronto, Canada.
Later, the Hollywood star took a break to connect with his Instagram followers, thanking them in a quick video for helping him surpass the 100 million follower mark. On set, Hart was in character attire, dressed in a cream-colored Henley, black pants, and a black quilted jacket.
Despite what would have been a stylish outfit, it was tarnished by fake blood stains and overall grime from the scene. The sequence involved Hart running out of a classic black Dodge Charger, sprinting down the street with smoke billowing from the vehicle.
His on-screen wife, played by Jasmine Mathews, was also present as they filmed together at a train station. Hart’s stunt double was on standby, indicating intense action scenes were being captured.
Between filming takes, Kevin received direction from director Patrick Hughes. The action-comedy plot revolves around the world’s top assassin mistaken for Teddy, described as ‘New York’s biggest screw-up,’ at an Airbnb, leading them to an unexpected partnership to save the day.
During a break in filming, Kevin celebrated a significant social media milestone, expressing gratitude to his followers on Instagram: “100 million followers on IG!!!! All organic….I love and appreciate you all. Your love and support means the world to me!!!!” He shared a video with this message, still in his bloody movie makeup and holding a celebratory cupcake.
“It’s a lot of hard work – blood, sweat, and tears. My face is a representation of that,” Kevin deadpanned to the camera, before being amusingly interrupted by a masked colleague as the director humorously cut in, “Kevin, can you cut the s**t, we need to film.”
“I don’t eat sweets so this is a waste of time,” Kevin joked, referencing the cupcake.
