Kevin Hart is discussing why his wife, Eniko Parrish Hart, chose to stand by him even after his cheating scandal came to light.
In a recent episode of Apple’s The School of Greatness podcast, the 40-year-old actor, who has been married to Parrish since 2016, opened up about the situation. Hart made headlines in December 2017 when he publicly admitted to cheating on Eniko while she was pregnant with their son, Kenzo Kash.
During the podcast, Hart revealed that Eniko came to a profound realization. “She came to an amazing conclusion of, ‘I like the fact that we have a family, that we have a household, and I like the fact that we now got a job to do to get better,'” Hart shared. He emphasized that Eniko told him, “That’s what you owe me. You owe me the get-better.” He also credited her for holding him accountable during this challenging time.
Acknowledging that it wasn’t easy, Hart praised his wife for her strength and resilience. “It wasn’t a walk in the park, but it was her understanding that we don’t let the outside world affect our inside, and I credit her for setting that tone,” he added.
Hart went on to describe Eniko as “the strongest person in the world.”
The incident in question involved Hart cheating on Eniko with a model named Montia Sabbag during a trip to Las Vegas in 2017. The encounter was captured on video and became the subject of an extortion attempt against the actor. Instead of paying, Hart publicly admitted his wrongdoing and publicly apologized to his wife, who chose to support him throughout the ordeal.
Despite initial claims by Sabbag that Hart and his friend J.T. Jackson set up the encounter and hid the camera, a lawsuit she filed against Hart seeking $60 million was recently dismissed by a California judge due to jurisdictional issues. The dismissal allows Sabbag the opportunity to refile the lawsuit in the appropriate jurisdiction.
Kevin Hart has two children, Heaven Hart and Hendrix Hart, from his previous marriage to Torrei Hart. Professionally, he recently starred in the successful sequel Jumanji: The Next Level alongside Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, and Karen Gillan. His upcoming film Fatherhood is scheduled for release on April 2, 2021.
