The series, announced in December, features Hart playing a character named Kid, inspired by his own career journey, while Snipes portrays his troubled older brother, Carlton.

In the scene observed, Hart’s character appears to be accosted by fans in what looks like a hotel lobby, with Snipes stepping in to intervene. Hart was dressed casually yet stylishly for the scene, sporting a textured black sweater paired with black jeans and black-and-white Nike high-top sneakers. Meanwhile, Snipes exuded coolness in military-style square aviator sunglasses, a tan button-up shirt, khakis, and bright white trainers.

True Story, although fictionalized, draws inspiration from Hart’s real-life experiences. According to Deadline, the series revolves around a critical moment during a tour stop in Kid’s hometown of Philadelphia, where the consequences of a night with his troubled brother threaten to unravel everything he has achieved.

Both actors have expressed enthusiasm for the project. Hart shared his excitement, stating, “I’ve never been more excited about an acting project in my career,” and praised Snipes, with whom he’s thrilled to collaborate. Snipes, in turn, teased fans with a photo from the set, promising that viewers are not prepared for what the series will deliver.

For Snipes, True Story marks another significant project following a resurgence in his career. After a slowdown in the mid-2000s and a period of personal challenges, including a prison term, Snipes returned to prominence with roles in notable films like The Expendables 3, Chi-Raq directed by Spike Lee, and the critically acclaimed Dolemite Is My Name alongside Eddie Murphy.
