Rick Ross is set to spend over $37 million on a lavish nine-bedroom mansion located on Miami’s exclusive Star Island. This prestigious enclave has previously housed celebrities like Gloria Estefan, Shaquille O’Neal, and Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, as noted by the Wall Street Journal. Jennifer Lopez also made headlines in 2020 when she and her then-fiancé Alex Rodriguez purchased a 10-bedroom property on the island.
At 47 years old, Rick Ross, who hails from the same Miami suburb as Flo Rida, is joining this elite community, according to TMZ Hip Hop. The property, which spans approximately 40,000 square feet, includes high-end features such as six bathrooms, a summer kitchen, and a heated swimming pool. The estate also offers ocean access through a simple wooden dock in the backyard and boasts an entertainment room among its luxurious amenities.
The purchase, which has been in the works since the mansion hit the market in May, is expected to finalize within weeks. This new acquisition follows Ross’s previous purchase of NBA player Amar’e Stoudemire’s Miami home for $3.5 million, as reported by Architectural Digest. Ross later mentioned on REVOLT’s show Assets Over Liabilities that he had yet to spend a night in Stoudemire’s former residence, noting that its value had increased since his purchase.
In addition to his Miami property, Ross also acquired Meek Mill’s Atlanta mansion for $4.2 million a few months ago, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Reflecting on his early success, Ross recalled in a 2021 interview his fascination with real estate, sharing that he once bought a million-dollar home in Atlanta just to drive by it and admire it.
Ross’s most notable property is his 109-room mansion in Georgia, known as The Promise Land, which he bought from Evander Holyfield.
